Spatial – Duncan Cotterill New Workplace Accommodation

Established in 1857, Duncan Cotterill are the largest law firm in the South Island.

To coincide with the 30th anniversary of their Auckland presence, Duncan Cotterill opened a new office. This workplace environment in the Britomart Precinct aligns with their aspirations of being the law firm that is more accessible to its clients and provides a more modern environment for all DC staff.

David & Luciano were the core design team who saw this project from inception to completion. From pre-design consultancy services, such as test fit layouts and feasibility studies, to envisioning workshops & brief development, through to site observation and handover.

The team at Duncan Cotterill has told us that the new environment delivers the experience their clients and staff wanted, and then some.

Client Quote:

“Having engaged David before, we knew it would be easy to work up a clear brief.

David and Luciano are easy guys to work with and they get the right balance between listening to us as a client and expressing their architectural flair and independence.

David navigated between respecting our culture and brand, picking up cues from our other office fit outs and making the most of a wonderful historic building.

The end product is functional, edgy and stylish, and sets us up well for our future in Auckland.

Our front of house makes a clear statement for our clients and visitors and represents our brand and future ambitions perfectly.

Our staff love their new working home”.
